NOTE THAT THIS ACTIVITY HAS NOW RESUMED
The Salvation Army Rainbow Unit is for girls aged 5 to 7 years and meets on a Wednesday during term time from 5 - 6pm. Rainbows make a simple promise that they share with members around the world;
I promise that I will do my best to love my God and to be kind and helpful.
Rainbows take part in indoor and outdoor events and their meetings are full of games, crafts and activities that provide challenging opportunities for Rainbows to think for themselves .Everything a Rainbow does help her to develop. Being a Rainbow is an opportunity to Look, Learn, Love and Laugh.
Rainbow units charge ′Subs′ to cover expenses and these are £10 per term with an annual subscription of £20 payable in February. For special events ,like days out, an extra charge is usually made . Rainbows wear a red tabard over their clothes, which costs £8.50 and can be bought from the unit.
As a Rainbow you are a member of Girlguiding UK, the largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women in the UK with around half a million members. There are similar organisations throughout the world and Girlguiding UK is a founding member of the world association that unites them.
